Learning just got a Glowup.
If you’re anything like us, we were tired of signing up for courses from other educators and not actually learning anything. That’s why we created the Glowup challenges—a deep dive into one topic at a time, allowing you to walk away an expert, ready to make real changes in your life and business. We make photography education FUN, actionable, and interactive—no more fluff and no more hidden secrets—and bring along a community that feels like home.
This is education for real people, with real results, so you can find success faster than we did with the knowledge we’re going to teach you. With a combined 25+ years of experience running multiple successful photography businesses, our purpose is to change the photography industry, one Glowup at a time.JOIN THE GLOWUP
Ever found yourself wishing you could push a videographer or photographer off a balcony?
THAT'S BAD. SO BAD. DON’T DO IT…BUT…WE GET IT. That’s why we are here right now.
There is so much that goes into a wedding day. A manageable timeline, dynamic posing, compelling composition, spot-on editing, and emotional expressions are of the utmost importance for everyone on the team when it comes to delivering a final product that your client (and planners) will love.
We both need so much of the exact same thing from the day! So why does it sometimes feel like we’re in some weird battle for our clients' time and attention?
There is a lot we can do to get on the same page and work smarter, not harder. When photo and video communicate and work together as a team, the final product for the client, the planners, and you, is so much better.
Our marketing efforts & social media strategies love both video and photo. Frankly, we need each other. Together we can tell a beautiful story of the wedding day and get content that is fun, effortless, and will perform well on our social media platforms. Plus, you'll get to look damn good on your website and get more of your ideal clients (and hopefully more work as an amazing photo/video team)!
Come learn the special secret sauce to collaborating and working as a fluid, professional photo/video team.
You'll feel confident, collaborative, and cool while getting work you’re proud of that inspires your future teams and clients! We are going to teach you the best way to work side by side as one. Never feel clueless and anxious about this collaboration again!
Peyton is a destination wedding, commercial, and editorial cinematographer named by Harper’s Bazaar as one of the Top Wedding Filmmakers in the world. With humble beginnings as an intern at a wedding planning firm and producer at an experiential marketing agency, she has over eight years of knowledge of the wedding and events industry and five years as a self-taught wedding filmmaker.
We have been working with Peyton since she picked up a camera. Being able to create together has elevated our level of work for ourselves and our clients unlike anything else. When we work together, it’s amazing how much we can accomplish as a team!

We invite you to learn how to Glowup your photo/video team collaborations and be the BEST for your clients and dream planners!
It’s about how you make people feel, and that especially goes for the team you’re working alongside on the wedding day. If you steal all the clients' time or don’t consider the photographer or videographer's role as important as your own, you’re going to make it awkward for the client and for each other.
We have all been there—timelines get out of control, you feel like you’re doing everything twice, you get in each other shots, and it feels like an unorganized mess! Ultimately, you didn’t plan to fail, you failed to plan.
Join us for the Photo/Video Collaboration Glowup with guest educator Peyton Frank and hear how we work together to create a fun, laid-back experience for our clients, while kicking a timeline’s booty, staying on the same page, and telling the story of the day magically with both mediums. Photo and video should both get a chance to shine, and it's up to us to advocate for each other!
WHAT IS A GLOWUP?
Glowups are mini classes that Develope Academy hosts once a month. We figured, instead of teaching with big, grand gestures and catch-all courses for everything, maybe some topics needed a little more nuance. Consider a Glowup to be your first, second, and third date with whatever topic we are covering. We find that these bite-sized education opportunities help our students to learn more efficiently, more quickly, and with more intention. You can expect each day of education to last 1-2 hours and to have fun while you learn!
Meet Charla + Jenn
Honestly. We were just tired of educators not actually teaching people. So...here we are, and we complement each other well. Our combined 25+ years and variety of expertise and experience gives us a unique approach that can affect change for most people in a very impactful way.
Education shouldn't be boring either. We believe that teleprompters and scripts make for a very distant learning experience. So our laid-back but pointed approach to teaching has been said to be "like hanging out with besties with a glass of wine." We are relatable while maintaining the fact that we are successful businesswomen in our industry.
Join us for Charla's world-renowned, film-shooting as she slams you with facts and rap rhymes while changing your life. Jennefer will be backing her up with her Kindred Preset prowess and inspiring ability to make everyone understand their individual importance.
